MARÍA DE KANNON CLÉ

PRESIDENT AND CEO OF BGF

Born in Madrid (Spain), María de Kannon Clè is a Filmmaker, Writer and Producer, currently combining her work as a filmmaker with the presidency of the non-profit organisation, Brains Get Famous, which she founded in 2021. Maria after her studies in UK and Switzerland, came back to Madrid, Spain afer leaving in london and Los Angeles.





started very young her production career in 2001, setting up her own production company, taking charge of the production, direction and presentation of the radio program ARTE 2 on Cibeles FM, a radio station owned by one of the most acclaimed radio host and broadcaster in Spain, Luis del Olmo. ARTE 2 was dedicated to different artistic disciplines, with interviews, international guests of great renown. Maria has interviewed for her program , the american director Steven Soderbergh, the french actor and filmaker Albert Duponet, the argentinian filmmaker Gaspar Noé, the british singer and composer Gary Christian (The Christians), the american band Parker & Lily, the american band Imperial Teen, the american singer Elvis Perkins, the british band Boedekka, the german-painter Thilo Heinzman, the German SculptorTobias Reheberger, the spanish ballet dancer Victor Ullate, the spanish actor Fernando Guillén, the spanish choreograph Eduardo Lao, the spanish actor José Coronado, the danish actor Mads Mikkelsen, the german galerist Heinrich Erhhardt, the spanish fasion designer Modesto Lomba, the american actor Christian Slater among others. 


 The succsess of the ARTE 2 program, together with the impression and the contact with this large group of artists have served María as inspiration for the NGO to help patients both children and adults to recover neuroplasticity througt the powerful effect of the arts and its numerous benefits. In addition to giving visibility through global movements and artistic events around the world..

In 2004 one of her scripts was selected by EGEDA and the Madrid film Commission to be produced and represent Spain at the LALIFF film festival. 


In 2008 she organized with the spanish actress Angela Molina an international film festival in Madrid. María directed the festival where she was sponsored by the american director, writer, actor and producer David Lynch, the american producer and composer Quincy Jones, the spanish artist director and design producer Gil Parrondo (the first spaniard to win two Accademy Awards), the french designer producer Alain Bainée and the american actor and producer Nick Nolte.


 In 2011 she becames the international ambassador of the international art school of cinema in Madrid Spain "TAI"

In 2015 together with the actor and director Michael Brando founded a branch of Brando Pictures in Spain, " Brando Pictures Spain with the intention of fulfilling the dream of Michael´s grandfather, Marlon brando of bringing to the cinema a version of Hamlet based on the ideas and notes of Marlon Brando.

In 2018 María became the international ambassador of the Seminci Film Festival through the direction of the journalist Javier Angulo.


María as a filmmaker and producer has been working with the hungarian cinematographer Vilmos Zsigmond, the american actor Matt Dillon, the german filmmaker and actor Til Shweiger, the chilean artist Alejandro Jodorowsky and the american actor and producer Nick Nolte.


 After her recovery María has resumed film projects on hold due to the surgery. 

María is currently in full production and development of the film documentary SHOULD I STAY OR SHOULD I GO together with the BGF team to raise awareness and funds. Designing the production together with the spanish singer Mónica Molina of the charity album LONELY MINDS and the concert tour. THE BRAINS ROCK Tour.


María is promoting artistics activities for Brains Get Famous with the support af artists and friends of many of the friends who have worked with her before and with new artists and friends who incorporate the NGO forming a beautiful and motivating family.

CHRISTIAN BROGNA

VICE PRESIDENT & MEDICAL AND SCIENTIFIC DIRECTOR OF BGF

Born in Italy, Christian Brogna is an international expert neurosurgeon in complex brain and spinal cord tumour surgery. He grew up in Rome, Italy, where he became a Consultant Neurosurgeon in 2009.



 

In 2007, he performed with Prof. Maurizio Salvati the first successful awake surgery with brain mapping in the Department of Neurosurgery, University of Rome La Sapienza, after returning from his neuro-oncology fellowship and brain mapping training with Prof. Hugue Duffau at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Montpellier, France.


He trained with Prof. Ugur Ture in advanced microneurosurgical techniques in brain tumour surgery at Yeditepe University, Istanbul. In 2013, Dr Brogna gained his PhD in Neuroscience. Since he has advanced the surgery of brain and spinal cord tumours, combining excellence in neuroanatomy under the mentorship of Prof. Guilherme Ribas, São Paulo, Brazil, with nuances in brain and spinal cord mapping and state-of-the-art microneurosurgical techniques. From 2013 to 2020, he worked as a neurosurgeon with a specific interest in neuro-oncological surgery at King’s College Hospital, London, UK, and, in 2018, as a research fellow at King’s College London. He conducts research in new brain and spinal cord mapping techniques and awake surgery in neuro-oncology to enhance safety for patients receiving brain and spinal cord tumour surgery. Since 2022, he has been working as a leading Consultant Neurosurgeon and Neuro-oncologist at Paideia International Hospital, Rome, Italy.

MANUEL pEDROSA

TREASURER AND NEUROSURGEON ON CALL AND SUPPORT OF BGF

Born in Spain, Manuel Pedrosa is an international expert neurosurgeon in complex brain and spinal cord tumour surgery. He grew up in Madrid, Spain. Graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the Complutense University in Madrid, June 1993. Doctor in Medicine (Surgery Department) at the Autonomous University of Madrid. June 1999. Qualification: Cum Laude.



Specialist in Neurosurgery. Accredited MIR Programme (resident member of medical staff) (1994-1998) at the Hospital Puerta de Hierro. Madrid. Classified 4th during the selection examination in 1994 for a Resident Member of Neurosurgery vacancy.

Medical Specialist at the Neurosurgery Service of the Hospital Puerta de Hierro(1999-2000).

Neurosurgeon at the Hospital Montepricipe and Madrid Norte Sanchinarro-Hospitals of Madrid Group(2000-2011)


Current Working:

Medical Specialist in the Neurosurgery Service of the University Hospital La Princesa. In Madrid (from 2000 to present).

CIRO GONZALÉZ-MOHINO

YOUTH VOLUNTEER DEPARTMENT DIRECTOR AND AMBASSADOR OF BGF

Born in Madrid (Spain), A Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering student at USC, in Los Angeles, California.Holding an IB diploma program at the Liceo Europeo. Ciro speaks English, Chinese, French and Spanish. Our Director of the department of volunteers is contributing to help BGF to raise funds through the sale of the NGO bracelets whose logo has been designed by him. In addition, Ciro is working in the production department of the film documentary titled: Should I Stay or Should I Go?: An American Dream

MÓNICA MOLINA

MUSIC DEPARTMENT DIRECTOR AND AMBASSADOR OF BGF

Born in Madrid (Spain), Mónica Molina is a melodic singer, music producer and Spanisn actress belonging to a well-known saga of artists, her father is the admired Antonio Molina one of the most respected and admired singers in Spain of all times. Mónica has been album platinum and candidate and candidate for the Latin Grammys and the Spanish music awards.


Monica Molina is also one of our prestigious international ambassadors and part of the cast of wonderful artists who are part of THE BRAINS ROCK Concert Tour and of our music album LONELY MINDS.

PAOLA LOZA

SECRETARY & BGF LEGAL ASSISTANT

Born in Madrid, Spain. Paola Loza Barrera is a law student at Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles, specializing in entertainment law with a focus on international transactions. A certified paralegal from the University of California, Irvine, she holds a degree in Political Science and International Relations from Saint Louis University, Madrid. Bilingual in Spanish and English, her perspective has been shaped by growing up in both Spain and the United States.

Paola’s dedication to nonprofit and social impact work began in her teenage years through community initiatives and has remained a guiding thread throughout her career. Before studying law, she worked as an artificial intelligence analyst, gaining experience at the intersection of technology and strategy.


Her legal studies have deepened her understanding of the frameworks governing entertainment and corporate law, with a particular interest in cross-border transactions and the evolving landscape of international media.



As Secretary and Legal Assistant of Brains Get Famous, Paola provides organizational and legal support to the board, leveraging her background in entertainment law and her international experience to advance the foundation’s mission of using the arts to support neurological recovery and global awareness.
